What does FL mean in racing? ›

Fastest race lap recorded at a circuit for a category of race car.

MTP = Minutes to Post. This is letting you know how many minutes are left before the current race goes off.

The entry fee for a day is usually around $300 for the weekend. There are other fees to consider for track days such as fuel and most likely tires. There may be added expenses like hotel and food, depending on track location. Most drivers seem to be paying around $1k per weekend for their track day events.

Rule of thumb is entry fees are 1%-2% of the purse. Trainer & Jockey Commissions: These are not necessarily fees so much as bonuses taken out of a winning purse.

You can find the various pricing options available through the Belmont Stakes website, which then redirects to Ticketmaster. There, general admission tickets are currently going for $64.35, or $55 before fees.

Live racing will be conducted on Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday with exception of nine Fridays on the following dates – June 7th & 14th, August 2nd & 9th, September 13th, 20th, 27th & October 4th, 11th, 14th, 16th & 17th. Daily Post Time 12:30pm.

Live racing at Harrah's Hoosier Park Racing & Casino will follow a Friday and Saturday schedule the first two weeks of the season, before going to a Wednesday through Saturday schedule beginning in April. The 160-day meet will be conducted through November 30 this season.
